Welcome to my blog!
This blog is to highlight my travels to remote places where I am at times working as a travelling healthcare provider, and others where I am just having fun exploring this beautiful world!
Most of my travels are to remote places where vast spaces, beautiful skies, and wildlife abound. As a private pilot, a medical professional, and an aspiring wildlife and nature photographer, there is a mix of all facets here.
When friend suggested I do this blog, it was more to encompass the medical aspects of my travels and capture the areas via photography. It has since morphed into more of the other components above minus most of the medical aspects. This, I believe, is a result of where my passions really are – the places, the people and the wildlife, and less about the medical aspects. Long ago, before my career in medicine, I worked for a short time in wildlife and field biology after earning a BS in Environmental & Wildlife biology. I ended up taking a different path into medicine, but the aforementioned factors are still what drives me and this endeavor; hence, all the details you will find in this blog related to the flora and fauna in the areas travelled. Additionally, I have tried to encompass the histories and cultures of the places visited along with landscapes and the skies that characterize these locations. Along with this is a focus on what it is like to fly over these regions, as it offers such amazing perspectives of the locations.
I hope you enjoy not only the stories, but the pictures as well. Now go get lost in my stories & photos & travel with me to remote & beautiful places!
